Baseball team will host Miami Dade Wednesday afternoon
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will host Miami Dade on Wednesday to begin the final week of the regular season.
The Titans will host the Sharks at 3 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field for the final time this season. The Sharks have won the first six meetings as they look to wrap up the conference title. Eastern Florida State College comes into the final week 5-12 in the conference and are 22-23 overall.
Eastern Florida State College is on a four-game win streak after sweeping a weekend series against Florida Southwestern.
Miami Dade is No. 2 in Region 8 in team ERA with an ERA of 4.08 this season and are second in the state in earned runs allowed.
Offensively the Sharks are led by Wooyeoul Shin who is hitting .409 with 13 home runs and 41 RBI this season. Teammate Max Galvin is hitting .406 this season.
The Titans are led by Carlos Cordero who is hitting .364 this season with 24 stolen bases which is tied for second in Region 8. Teammate Eddiel Tolentino is hitting .360 with 28 RBI this season.
