The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost the Southern Conference opener Wednesday at Bruce Bochy Field.
The Titans lost to Miami Dade College 5-0 in the first game of a three-game series against the defending conference champions.
Dalton Robinson made a strong start for the Titans, tossing six shutout innings before getting into trouble in the seventh inning. Robinson finished allowing two run and struck out six while walking three.
Offensively the Titans managed just one hit against Miami Dade.
The Titans will travel to Miami Dade on Friday for Game 2 of the series with the final game of the series scheduled for Saturday in Miami. Game 2 will begin Friday at 3 p.m.
