Miami Dade College
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost in the ninth inning Friday night at Bruce Bochy Field.
The Titans headed to the eighth inning up 2-1 but Miami-Dade tied the game in the eighth and then scored three times in the ninth inning to win 5-2.
Mason Studstill got the start for the Titans and was sharp, striking out 10 and walked two in seven strong innings. The only run he allowed was an unearned run in the third.
Third baseman Andres Ramos came up in the bottom of the second inning and gave the Titans a lead with his first home run of the season.
Jasson Corniel would single later in the inning and score on Jakob Zarrello's sacrifice fly.
The Titans, who are now 10-7 overall and 1-1 in the Southern Conference, will face the Sharks in the third game of the series on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is 1 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field and admission is free.
