Rain forces suspension of EFSC baseball, softball games
Heavy rain forced the suspension of Eastern Florida State College baseball and softball games on Saturday.
In softball, the Titans were leading Broward College 7-2 in the bottom of the third inning in the first game of a doubleheader when play was suspended. No makeup date has been announced.
The EFSC baseball team, meanwhile, was leading Indian River State College 5-1 with two outs in the top of the sixth inning when the rain came.
Sammy Duran was 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs for EFSC. Ruben Garcia had a home run and three RBIs.
The game will be finished at a later date.
The EFSC baseball team will next play Tuesday on the road against the University of Tampa JV team.
The softball team will also be back in action Tuesday with a double header against Miami-Dade on the Palm Bay campus.
