The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won its 14th straight game on Tuesday night, defeating Miami Dade College on the road.
The No. 15 ranked Titans shut down the Sharks in the first half and cruised to an 85-46 win and improve to 10-0 in the conference.
Sophomore Amelia Hassett had another big game for the Titans, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds with a couple of blocks in the win. It is the 16th double-double of the season for Hassett.
The game was tied 10-10 before the Titans finished the first quarter on a 7-0 run. They would remain hot in the second quarter, scoring 21 points in the second quarter while holding the Sharks to just one point in the quarter. Eastern Florida State College would head to halftime leading 38-11.
Martina Galvez Narro hit one of her three 3-pointers early in the third quarter and finished the game with 13 points while teammate Andrea Chiquemba had 12 points and Lynn Rieth finished with 10 points. The Titans bench finished with 50 of the 85 points in the game.
The Titans, who are 15-3 overall, will host Florida Southwestern Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. in a conference game. Admission to games at Titan Field House is free and the game will be broadcast live online at EFSC Titans YouTube page.
