Women's volleyball team hits road for key conference match
The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference match at Polk State College on Saturday afternoon.
The 18th-ranked Titans, who are 9-4 and 2-4 in the conference, will play No. 15 Polk State College who is 9-5 overall and 5-2 in the conference at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Polk State College is in third place in the conference and defeated the Titans in four sets at Titan Field House in the conference opener. Keionna Mackey led the Eagles in that match with 18 kills and has 162 this season which leads the Eagles.
Eastern Florida State College is coming off a straight-set victory against Santa Fe College as Emma Kiser and Bobbie Schwantz led the attack.
Sophomore Sofia Kamke leads the team in kills with 110 this season.
Saturday's match is the second of three straight on the road for the Titans who will be back at Titan Field House Wednesday night against Hillsborough Community College at 6 p.m. Wednesday's match will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV as well as online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
