Volleyball team hits road for top 10 matchup
The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference match against Miami Dade College Wednesday.
The Titans, who are No. 10 in the NJCAA Division I poll, will look for to rebound from their first loss of the season last week against No. 17 Polk State College.
It won't be easy as Miami Dade comes into the contest 8-1 and are No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I poll. The Sharks have won four in a row and are led by Esthefany Rabit who has 82 kills in nine matches and has a hitting percentage of .504 which leads Region 8.
Sophomore Sofia Kamke has 75 kills in eight matches this season for the Titans and 17 service aces. Her 0.65 service aces per set is third in Region 8.
The conference match will begin at 6 p.m. The Titans will return to Titan Field House on Saturday afternoon against Indian River State College at 2 p.m.
