Women's volleyball team beats Webber International JV
The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team defeated Webber International JV in straight sets Friday night at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans got off to a fast start as freshman Cassandra Gregory served 11 straight points to start the match. Sophomore Nyasia John had a couple of big kills as Eastern Florida State College took the first set 25-8.
After Webber scored the first point of the second set it was all Titans as Maredis Colon quickly made it 7-1 and the Titans would go up 15-5 on a Kaydelis Nieves ace. They would go on to post the 25-9 win in the second set.
The third set saw Webber hang around a bit, but Eastern Florida State College picked up the straight set win with the 25-14 win.
The Titans, who improved to 7-5 on the season, will open the Mid-Florida Conference schedule Tuesday night against No. 1 ranked Polk State College. The match will begin at 7 p.m. at Titan Field House and admission is free. The match will be shown live on the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
