Softball player Jenna Borkey named Gold Glove Award winner
Eastern Florida State College softball player Jenna Borkey was named a 2024 NJCAA Division I Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Tuesday.
The sophomore from Concord, North Carolina started 55 games in centerfield for the Titans and had one error and 111 putouts with five assists for a .991 fielding percentage.
"We are so excited for Jenna to be named the 2024 Gold Glove recipient," Eastern Florida State College softball coach Shelby Petik said. "While her time at Eastern Florida was short, she maximized each day to the fullest. She is a tremendous athlete and will continue to excel at the next level."
Borkey was named to the NFCA All-South Region team as well as to the FCSAA Region 8 all-tournament team. She hit .401 this season with a couple of home runs, 36 RBI and 43 runs scored. Borkey also stole 44 bases this season.
