Softball team hosts St. Johns River State College Friday
The Eastern Florida State College softball team will be back at Titan Softball Complex Friday for a doubleheader against St. Johns River State College.
The Titans have won their first four series of the season and will face a St. Johns River State College team that is 5-5 on the season and has won two of the last three games. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 2 p.m.
Eastern Florida State College's Jenna Borkey is hitting .640 through eight games with 12 RBI. Teammate Faith Campos is hitting .522 with a home run and a couple of doubles.
On the mound, Luci Walters has made four starts and is 3-0 with two complete games. The freshman has a 2.26 ERA.
St. Johns River's Emily Griffin is hitting .500 this season with three doubles and a triple while teammate Kendall Catherwood is hitting .483 and Caylee Elder is hitting .419 through 10 games. Brooke Strickland has made four starts and is 2-1 with a 3.50 ERA this season.
