The Eastern Florida State College softball team earned a split against No. 8 College of Central Florida Thursday afternoon at Titan Softball Complex.
The Titans lost the first game 11-2 in a game shown live on WEFS-TV but bounced back to post a 1-0 shutout behind Jordan Lawlis' four-hitter.
Lawlis picked up her seventh win of the season as the Titans scored the lone run of the game when Mary Waldron hit a tripla nad two hitters ater Hannah Crumblish drove her in with a triple of her own.
The Titans head into this weekend's conference tournament 13-18-1 on the season and have won seven of the past eight games. Eastern Florida State College will face Broward College at 2 p.m. Saturday and then Miami-Dade at 6 p.m. at Palm Beach State College.
