The Eastern Florida State College softball team went 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at Chain of Lakes in Titusville.
The Titans outscored their opponents 34-2 in the three games as they improved to 9-17-1 on the season.
In the first game, the Titans dominated Sauk Valley Community College, winning 21-0 in five innings.
And it started in the first inning as Nikki Pennigton drove in two runs with a single and then Abigail Kendrick blasted a two-run home run, her first of the season. The Titans exploded for eight runs in the second inning. Hannah Crumblish had one of the big hits, a bases clearing double.
Then with the Titans already leading 17-0 in the fifth inning, Nikki Pennington hit her third home run, a three-run shot. Brooke Diaz followed it up with her first home run to make it 21-0.
Alice Gannaway finished with four hits in the game.
In the second game of the day, the Titans defeated Parkland Community College 3-0 behind Olivia Everett's three-hit shutout.
The Titans scored all three of their runs in the third inning as Crumblish got the Titans on the board with an RBI single and Pennington drove in two more to make it 3-0.
That was all Everett needed as she retired the final seven hitters in order to pick up her XX win of the year.
Jordan Lawlis took the mound for the second game of the doubleheader and picked up her second win of the day, 10-2.
The Titans jumped out to an early lead once again, scoring three times in the first inning.
Already leading 6-2, the Titans would end the game when Gannaway had an RBI double, then Brooke Diaz drove in two with a double. Diaz would score the final run on a Lawlis hit.
Lawlis picked up her fourth win of the season, striking out seven hitters. Lawlis, Pennington and Mary Waldron each had two hits in the game.
The Titans will be back at Titan Softball Complex Monday afternoon against Lincoln Land Community College. The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 4:30 p.m. Admission to softball games is free.
