Titans Suffer Softball Sweep
Eastern Florida's softball team dropped a doubleheader on Thursday, falling 5-2 and 13-5 to St. Johns River State College in Palatka.
The non-conference defeats dropped Eastern Florida to 24-26 overall. St. Johns River improved to 28-25.
Karli Smith was the losing pitcher in the first game. Taylor Zitiello went 1-for-3 with a home run. Mackenzie Soughers was 1-for-3 with a triple.
Morgan Payne took the loss in the second game. Carly Nicholas was 1-for-1 with a run batted in.
The Titans complete the regular season at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday against Seminole State in Sanford.
They then will compete in the April 29-May 1 NJCAA District/FCSAA Tournament in Vero Beach.
