Men's tennis players ranked among top 50 in nation
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team is well represented in the ITA National Rankings at the end of the Fall season.
The Titans have five singles players ranked in the top 50 and three doubles teams ranked in the top 25 in the national rankings.
Sophomore Hugo Car is the No. 1 ranked player after making it to the championship match of the Junior College ITA Cup. Teammate Jett Leong is ranked fifth overall with Jack Dixon ranked 11th. Sophomore Pavel Kelo is ranked 27th overall and Alexandr Achour is 30th in the rankings.
The doubles team of Car and Achour is ranked fourth after a strong fall season with the team of Leong and Tomas Queseda is ranked sixth while Kelo and Konstantin Kukaris is No. 15 in the rankings.
The men's tennis team will open the spring season on Friday, Jan. 26 at St. Leo University. The team will be home on Tuesday, Jan. 30 against Palm Beach Atlantic at 2 p.m.
