Women's golf team places third at NJCAA Southeast District Championship

Women's golf team places third at NJCAA Southeast District Championship

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team finished third in the NJCAA Division I Southeast District Championship in Palm Coast.

The Titans shot a 324 in the final round at the Conservatory Golf Club. Seminole State College won the event, shooting a 298 in the final round.

Sophomore Gracie Doke shot a 75 in the second round and placed fourth overall at 8-over par for the two rounds.

Brittany Odic shot an 81 for the second straight round and finished 11th overall and Jenna Barnett finished 12th after shooting an 83. Jaida Furlow tied for 15th overall and Emma Parker was 17th.

Seminole State's Jane Huang won the medalist title, shooting a 73 in the final round and was 3-over for the tournament. Teammate Tabitha Hanely was second at 5-over.

Eastern Florida State College will now wait to see if they receive an at-large bid into the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
