Softball team hits road for doubleheader Tuesday
The Eastern Florida State College softball team will hit the road Tuesday for a non-conference game with St. Johns River State College.
The Titans come into the game 13-1 on the season and are ranked fourth in the NJCAA Region 8 Coaches Poll released on Monday. The ranking is the highest ranking in the past 20 years.
St. Johns River State College comes into the game 9-7 on the season and is ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Region 8 Division II poll. They split a doubleheader earlier this season at Titan Softball Complex. Emily Griffin comes into the doubleheader hitting .438 with 15 RBI and Carolyn Lasater is 2-1 with two saves and has a 1.09 ERA.
Eastern Florida State College is hitting .448 this season which is second in Region 8 and is tied for second in doubles with 34. Livie Davis is hitting .583 in 14 games this season while Jenna Borkey is hitting .571.
