Butler named men's cross country Atlantic Region Coach of Year

First-year head cross country coach Doug Butler was named the NJCAA Division I Atlantic Region Coach of the Year by the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association.

Butler has led the men's cross country program to an JNJCAA Region 8 title and the team is ranked 18th in the NJCAA Division I Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll as they get ready to compete in the NJCAA Division I National Championships Saturday in Tallahassee.

Butler started both the men's and women's cross country programs this season for Eastern Florida State College and both have had successful first seasons.

The men's cross country national championship race will begin at noon at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.
