Men's cross country team ranked 14th in first national poll
The Eastern Florida State College men's cross country team is ranked No. 14 in the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll released on Wednesday.
The Titans made history on Wednesday as the first-year program is the only Florida team ranked in the top 24 in the Division I national poll. The team has run in two meets in their inaugural season and have fared well against some tough four-year schools.

Colby – a unanimous selection at No. 1 – had a previous high ranking in the polls of No. 2, achieved three times last year. Iowa Western has finished in the top-3 in the national championships every year since 2013. Trinidad State (Colo.) is No. 3, their highest-ever appearance in this poll (previous best was No. 6 in 2019), while Northwest Kansas Tech is No. 4, matching its best ever (twice last year).
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Tallahassee for the FSU Invite on Friday, October 7.
