Men's soccer team honors sophomores Monday night
The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team will honor its sophomore class on Monday night as the team will host Brevard SC at 7 p.m.
The Titans are 12-1 this season and have won the Region 8 title to advance to the postseason. Eight players will be recognized at the game as Eastern Florida State College gets ready for their Southeast District play-in game Saturday afternoon.
Starting goalkeeper Kodai Tsuzuki, Daniele Verdirosi, Jack Nelson, Adrian Adrian, George Wyatt, Pedro Amancio, Ryan Thomas and Thiago Pires are all playing their final regular-season game with the Titans on Monday.
Tsuzuki has started nine games in the goal for the Titans this season and has six shutouts, allowing just six goals for a 0.77 goals against average. The Takahama, Japan native is 9-1 in his starts this season. He has played in 16 matches and has 12 wins in his career.
Wyatt is a center back and the captain has started 12 games this season and all 19 of the games he has played in his two seasons. The Bury, England native has also scored a goal this season.
Verdirosi is one of the team's leading scorers this season with nine goals and has assisted on eight others in the Rome, Italy native's 11 games in his only season with the Titans.
Thomas has started eight of the 10 games he has played in this season and has started 21 of 24 games in his two seasons. The Peterborough, England native has three assists this season and seven in his career.
Nelson has scored three goals and assisted on five others in eight games this season, starting the past three. The Folkestone, England native scored 12 goals in his freshman season and has 15 in his career.
Amancio has started in 11 of the 12 games he has played in this season and has played all around the pitch for the Titans. The Maceio, Brazil native two goals and seven assists this season.
Pires is a defender that has started six games this season and has a goal and a couple of assists this season. The Boca Raton native has started 15 of his 26 career games and has eight assists and a couple of goals in his career.
Adrian has played in 12 games in his career with the Titans and has two goals and three assists, making three starts.
