Men's soccer team loses to Daytona State College in Region 8 Conference match
The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team lost to Daytona State College Wednesday night at Orlando Health Stadium.
The Titans fell to 5-6 on the season with the 2-0 loss as Daytona State College scored twice in the second half to improve to 11-1-1 and win the Region 8 championship.
It looked like the Titans would get on the board first as Gunnar Studenhofft's shot bounced off the post and out instead of into the net two minutes into the contest.
Both teams had chances throughout the first half, but the two teams would head into halftime tied 0-0.
After the Titans had another good chance early in the second half it was the Falcons who would score first six minutes into the second half as Yutaro Tsukada scored his XX goal of the season.
Daytona State College's Vander Rocha would score with 26:31 left in the contest to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead and ultimately the victory.
Eastern Florida State College will wrap up the season Saturday morning in a scrimmage against Warner University JV at 10 a.m.
