Seven men's soccer players recognized by Region 8

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team had five players make the All-Region 8 first team including Abdel Kuku who was named the Region 8 Player of the Year.

The sophomore midfielder from Western Sydney, Australia is one of the captains of the Titans and has two goals and four assists this season.

Sophomore forward Aedon Kyra has a team-high 13 goals this season to go with seven assists including three game-winning goals. The New South Wales, Australia native leads the region with 33 points.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nour Moaoui has allowed six goals in 13 starts this season with nine shutouts – a program record for the Palm Bay native.

Sophomore defender Moussa Gueye has started all 16 games and the Senegal native has scored a goal and has three assists while leading the back line.

Freshman midfielder Abdoulaye Diop has scored three goals and assisted on four others in his first season. The Senegal native has started 13 games this season for the Titans.

Sophomore Marc Grifell and freshman Levonte Johnson both made the second team.

Head coach Oliver Twelvetrees was named the Region 8 Coach of the Year for the third straight season.

The Titans are heading to Tyler, Texas for the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament beginning Monday.
