Men's basketball team heads to Georgia for B-Mac's Classic
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will head to Georgia for the 8th annual B-Mac's Classic in Swainsboro.
The Titans, who are 8-2 overall and ranked No. 23 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, will play Albany Technical College on Friday at 6 p.m. and then have a rematch with host South Georgia State College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Albany Tech is 4-5 on the season but has won the past three games, averaging 99 points per game in the three wins.
South Georgia State comes into the weekend 9-1 on the season and edged the Titans last weekend at East Georgia and will play again on Saturday. South Georgia State used a good first half and held on to pick up the victory, handing Eastern Florida State College just their second loss of the season. Ashton Pennamon led the Hawks with 22 points while Devon Rainey added 14 in the win.
The Titans are led by Emondrek Erkins-Ford who is averaging 15.3 points per game this week and had 16 against South Georgia State. Felipe Patino had six 3-pointers in the first meeting and is averaging 12.4 points per game.
