The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team fell short in a road game with the State College of Florida-Manatees Saturday afternoon.
The Titans took a 77-75 lead on a Christyon Eugene 3-pointer, his fifth of the game. But turnovers in the final minute gave the Manatees a couple of easy baskets and a 79-77 win.
SCF-Manatee led 45-37 at the half but the Titans used a strong second half to get back into the contest.
Eugene led all scorers in the game with 21 points while Lovre Zaja score 17 points off the bench for the Titans, who fell to 1-1 on the season.
SCF-Manatees improved to 1-1 with the win and was led by James Weathers' 20 point effort.
Eastern Florida State College will host Florida Southwestern Wednesday night. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, fans will not be allowed at Titan Field House on Wednesday but fans can watch the game on the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
