Jackson Scores 44 to Lead Titan Men Past Indian River
Freshman C.J. Jackson had a career game on Saturday scoring 44 points as Eastern Florida's men's basketball team beat Indian River 90-77 in Fort Pierce.
Jackson's 44 points were the most scored by one player in one game in head coach Jeremy Shulman's six seasons at Eastern Florida.
Three-time defending FCSAA Southern Conference champion Eastern Florida improved to 9-0 in the conference and 21-3 overall. Indian River fell to 5-4 and 14-8.
Richard Gaines and B.J. Gladden scored 12 points each and Kareem Brewton 11 for EFSC.
"What an unbelievable effort by our guys today," Shulman said. "Against one of the best teams in Florida, on their home floor, our guys really fought tooth and nail for this win. This is a fun group to coach, and they showed why again today. I am very blessed to coach this team."
