Eastern Florida State College men's soccer player Stephen Gilbert had his first hat trick to help the Titans advance in the Southeast District Championship
Eastern Florida State College men's soccer player Stephen Gilbert recorded his first hat trick and is the Orlando Health Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 3.
The freshman from Lithia, Florida scored three goals and assisted on another in the Titans 7-1 victory against Southern Union State College in the semifinals of the Southeast District Championships.
Gilbert scored the first goal of the day in the 10th minute of the contest and then assisted on the second goal. Then in the second half Gilbert scored twice.
The forward has now scored six goals this season.
The Titans won the SOutheast District Championship on Saturday night and advanced to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Wichita, Kansas beginning Nov. 17.
