Women's golf team has solid first round at Seminole event
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is in eighth place after the first round of the Seminole State Spring Break Tournament at Timacuan Golf and Country Club in Lake Mary.
The Titans were led by freshman Dayna Owens who shot an 83 and is tied for 22nd in the tournament. Teammate Katelyn McCallum shot an 84 and is tied for 27th.
"Good work by Dana and Katelyn, difficult with only four healthy participants but the ladies continue to work hard to improve," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.
The final round of the tournament will be Wednesday.
