Women's golf team off to solid start at Lady Titan Invitational
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team shot a 348 after the first round of the Lady Titan Invitational at Rockledge Country Club.
The Titans have been hit by the flu bug and only had four players healthy enough to tee off on Monday.
Freshman Dayna Owens led the Titans, shooting an 80 while teammate Katelyn McCallum had an 88 and Danica Swaggerty and Gianna Piscitelli each finished with a 90.
"The four who played fought hard but it was just that, a fight all day," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.
Seminole State leads the tournament, shooting a 302. Eastern Florida State College will tee off at 8 a.m. Tuesday for the final round.
