Women's golfer Danica Swaggerty will attend University of Saint Francis next year
Danica Swaggerty became the first Eastern Florida State College women's golfer to continue their education and athletics at a four-year school.
Swaggerty signed her Letter of Intent to attend and play golf at the University of Saint Francis in Indiana next season.
The sophomore from Knoxville, Tennessee is in her second season with the Titans golf program and is looking forward to continuing both her education as well as playing golf.
"I really wanted to go to a smaller school and the University of Saint Francis has an amazing Animation program plus an amazing golf program. Plus it is a Catholic school which was really important to me," Swaggerty said.
University of Saint Francis head golf coach Tim Alexander came to the signing and was impressed
"The competitive nature and unlimited potential I think that she can get to get to the next level," With her golf swing, I think the sky is the limit for her the next two years."
The Titans spring golf season begins Feb. 5-6 with the Lady Titan Winter Invitational at Suntree Country Club.
