Men's golf team wins the NJCAA District Preview

Men's golf team wins the NJCAA District Preview

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team won the NJCAA District Preview in Marion, Illinois on Tuesday.

Rain washed out the final round of the event, giving the Titans their first title of the fall season as they shot 592 over two rounds to win the event by 14 strokes.

Freshman Thomas Matthews finished tied for second and Josh Stern placed fourth in the tournament. It was Matthews second straight top five finish this fall.

Teammates Beck Fox and Sean McGinty tied for seventh while Ryan McMillan finished tied for 13th.

The Titans will host the National Preview tournament at Duran Golf Club Oct. 8-9.
