Men's golf team remains in eighth at national tournament
A storm rolled in just as the Eastern Florida State College men's golf team was putting the finishing touches on their best round of the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament.
After a delay of more than two hours that saw hail fall, the Titans came back out and struggled to finish 5-over for the second straight day. After 12 holes the Titans were under par as a team after eagles by both Fraser Davren and Beck Fox on the 11th hole.
The team is in eighth place overall heading into the final round at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas on Friday.
The team continued to do well on the par 5s as they went 6-under as a team on the four par 5s and are 26-under for the tournament.
In the third round, Fox led the team after an even par 72 round while Ryan Rozic and Gregory Darnell each shot one over. Rozic is tied for 13th overall after three rounds.
The Titans will tee off at 11 a.m. central time and begin the day four strokes behind Western Texas College for seventh place.
