Men's golf team tied for eighth after two rounds of Battle at the Shores
The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team used a solid second round to move into a tie for eighth place after two rounds at The Battle at the Shores tournament at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach.
The Titans shot a 288 in the second round and are tied with Queen's University of Charlotte after two rounds. Florida Southern is in first place while Lynn University is two strokes behind in second.
Beck Fox and Fraser Davren led the Titans in the second round, both shooting under par. Fox started his day with a double bogey but bounced back with six birdies to finish 2-under 69 and is tied for 10th overall at 1-under.
Davren had a rough first round, but came back to shoot 3-under 68 in the second round and heads into the final day tied for 18th.
The Titans, who are No. 3 in the latest NJCAA Division I men's golf poll, will tee off at 8:30 a.m. for the final round of the tournament.
