Bio

Carmelo 'Melito' Eleutiza is in his sixth season as the head coach of the women's volleyball program at Eastern Florida State College.

Last season they bounced back in a big way, winning 19 matches which was the most wins in a season in the past decade. The team went to the FCSAA/NJCAA Division I Southeast District Tournament where they reached the third-place match, defeating Polk State College in four sets to claim third place. 

In 2021, the team struggled with injuries and missed the postseason.

In 2020 the Titans made it to the state tournament for the first time in over a decade and went 1-2 in the state tournament. 

Eleutiza came to Eastern Florida State College after spending 2018 as a volunteer assistant coach at UCF. Eleutiza is also the head volleyball coach of the Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy which was ranked No. 1 in the state of Florida and finished No. 2 in the nation. He has won 10 national championship in the open division of club volleyball and also coached at NCAA Division II Bluefield State College in West Virginia.

The new Titans coach grew up in Puerto Rico and played in college at Interamericana University as well as coached with his mother and later with the Toa Baja semi-pro league with a record of 53-16 and had an undefeated season, winning a league championship. Eleutiza has also been an assistant volleyball coach for the Captains of Arecibo and Llaneras of Toa Baja in the Puerto Rico Girls Professional Volleyball League.
