Women's basketball team opens season with road win
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team opened the regular season Friday with a win in Jacksonville.
The Titans defeated Tallahassee Community College 64-56 in the Battle of Beach Blvd. FSCJ Tip-Off Classic.
The trio of Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu, L'or Eyeba Mputu and Amelia Hassett each scored 11 points in the victory while Elli Garnett had 10 points in the win. Momodu and Mputu finished with double-doubles as each also grabbed 11 rebounds in the game.
Eastern Florida State College (1-0) will hit the road Sunday for a game against St. Thomas University JV at 1 p.m.
