The Eastern Florida State College softball team picked up a pair of wins on the road Tuesday to punch their ticket to the postseason for the second straight season.
The 17th ranked Titans defeated Hillsborough Community College 11-2 in the first game and then 13-1 in five innings in the second game to finish the conference season 23-17. Eastern Florida State College will find out when they will play in the state tournament later this week. The tournament begins next week in Clearwater.
On Tuesday, the Titans finished off Game 1 by scoring twice in sixth inning and four more times in the seventh inning to win 11-2.
Aracelis Jimenez went 5-for-5 and scored three times in the win while Jessica Merk had an inside the park home run and had three hits with three RBI and three runs scored.
In Game 2, the Titans kept things rolling, scoring twice in the first and four times in the second and third innings. They scored three more times in the fifth inning to end the game.
Ashley Corazzini drove in three runs on two hits while Isabel Otero went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Cora Middleton went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and drove in two runs.
The Titans finish the regular season 38-20.
