The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team struggled in the opening rounds of the Dan York Memorial Tournament in Jasper, Alabama on Monday.

The Titans head into the final round on Tuesday in sixth place after rounds of 289 and 290 on Monday.

Individually, sophomore Tom Matthews shot a four-under 67 in the second round to jump into a tie for second place and heads to the final round one shot behind Calhoun's Charlie Reeves for the medalist.

Teammate Ryan McMillan is tied for 12th place after two rounds, shooting a 69 in the first round and then a 73 in the second round. He is even par for the tournament.

Sophomores Ben Ramos and Sean McGinty each struggled in one of the first two rounds and freshman Drew Lanier shot 77 in both the first two rounds.

Central Alabama Community College is leading the tournament and are sitting at 561. Calhoun is in second place with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is in third.
