The Wildcats led the MEAC in every major pitching statistical category and had a pair of senior pitchers drafted. In 2010, the Wildcats finished 21st in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings, while only 31 of the 473 innings pitched were thrown by seniors.

In the summer of 2010, Arnold took a job with his former UCF coach Greg Frady at Georgia State and led them to the lowest team ERA in school history (4.29) in 2011, In 2012, Arnold had eight new pitchers on the staff and guided them to 24 wins, four complete games and a couple of shutouts as Georgia State remained in contention until the final day of the regular season.

The Satellite High baseball coach and athletic director took over for Jeff Tam who went 185-134 in six and a half seasons with the Titans.
