The Eastern Florida State College baseball team defeated Broward College 5-2 in the second game of the weekend series Friday on the road.
The Titans got another strong start from Pablo Barquero Jackson who went 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five. Barquero has picked up wins in each of his last four starts for the Titans and has a 2.49 ERA this season.
JD Stubbs hit his second home run of the season and teammate Austin Bates went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and stole three bases. Stubbs and Steven Lugo finished with two hits apiece for the Titans who are now 19-12 overall and 7-4 in the Southern Conference.
The two teams will meet again Saturday at Broward College at 1 p.m.
