Libby Ashline named FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week

Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball player Libby Ashline has been named the FCSAA Division I Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The sophomore from Melbourne had a big match against Daytona State College with six blocks and six digs in a five-set win.

She finished the match against Daytona State College with a 93 percent service percentage with an ace in 15 attempts. Ashline also had seven kills against Daytona State College.

For the week, Ashline had nine blocks, 13 digs and 12 kills in two victories.

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team is scheduled to travel to No. XX Hillsborough Community College on Wednesday evening. They will have Saturday off before hosting Santa Fe College next Wednesday.
