Women's volleyball team up to No. 17 in national poll

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team jumped up three spots to No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.

The Titans are in the top 20 for the seventh straight week in the national poll, moving up after defeating Miami Dade in five sets on Saturday. The Sharks fell two spots to No. 4 in the poll.

Florida Southwestern continues to be ranked No. 1 in the poll with Northeastern Junior College moving up to No. 2 and Salt Lake Community College up three spots to No. 3. Miami Dade and Navarro College round out the top five. Five Region 8 teams continue to be ranked nationally with Polk State College No. 14 and Daytona State College 15th.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Indian River State College on Wednesday for a Citrus Conference match beginning at 5:30 p.m. and then will host No. 1 Florida Southwestern on Saturday at 2 p.m.
