Women's volleyball team falls to No. 1 FSW on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team lost to No. 1 Florida Southwestern in straight sets Wednesday night in Fort Myers.

The 12th-ranked Titans lost 25-14, 25-17 and 25-10 to fall to 8-3 overall and 1-3 in the Citrus Conference.

After trailing throughout the first set, the Titans took their first lead in the second set as Dominae Jordan served up a couple of points to give Eastern Florida State College an 8-5 lead. It would go to 12-7 before FSW made a couple of big blocks to take the point and go on a run to tie it 14-14 and went on to post the 25-17 win. They would wrap up the contest with a 25-10 third set win.

Sofia Kamke finished with eight kills and nine digs while Gaia Riedmuller finished with 11 digs.

Eastern Florida State College will be back at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon for a noon match against No. 18 Daytona State College. Admission is free to matches at Titan Field House and you can watch the match live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
