The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team lost its Suncoast Conference opener against No. 7 Miami Dade College Tuesday night at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans, who are now 8-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference, lost to Miami Dade in straight sets 25-16, 25-14, 25-12.
Eastern Florida State College could not get much going against the Sharks, making small runs in each set to hang around early but Miami Dade took control by midway through each set.
The Titans will hit the road for another conference game on Thursday evening, playing at Daytona State College who won their first conference match on Tuesday against Indian River State College.
Thursday night's match will begin at 6 p.m. at Daytona State College.
