Volleyball team opens postseason Tuesday on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team opens the Mid-Florida Conference playoffs on Tuesday night, traveling to Daytona State College for a 7 p.m. match.

The two teams met twice this season with the Falcons winning both matches and head coach Andrea Twelvetrees knows it will be tough but believes if they play strong defense and make good shot selections they can pick up the win and advance in the playoffs.

Freshmen Maddy Campbell and Nyasia John are among the conference leaders in blocks per set and will need to block well for the Titans to find success.

The winner of Tuesday night's match will travel to the College of Central Florida to play the Patriots on Thursday night.
