Volleyball team opens conference season Tuesday night on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team will open the Mid-Florida Conference season Tuesday evening on the road.

The Titans, who are 2-8 on the season, will travel to Polk State who are 12-5 and No. 2 in the latest Region 8 poll.

"Polk is always a very tough matchup and has consistently been the top team in our Conference," Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball coach Andrea Twelvetrees said. "We know that they are very talented this year and we have been focusing on eliminating errors on our side of the net."

Freshman Maddy Campbell is among the top five in bocks per set, averaging 1.10 this season. Teammate Ariel Letcher is among the top 10 in kills per set, averaging 3.00.

Tuesday is the beginning of a busy week for the Titans, who will travel to Daytona State College on Thursday night for a conference matchup before hosting Webber International JV on Friday. Friday's match begins at 6 p.m. and admission is free to Titan Field House.
