Volleyball team preparing for new season

The Eastern Florida State College volleyball team is hard at work preparing for the new season.

The Titans will open the season at home, hosting Indian River State College Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at Titan Field House. It is the first of nine home matches for the volleyball team, who are looking to build on last season when they made the postseason for the first time under head coach Andrea Twelvetrees.

Eastern Florida State College will open its second season in the Mid-Florida Conference Sept. 25 on the road, traveling to Polk State College. Daytona State College and defending champion College of Central Florida are also in the conference.

Three of the first four matches this season will be at Titan Field House as Santa Fe College and the Florida State College at Jacksonville will travel to Melbourne the first two weeks of the season.

The Titans will also compete in the Florida State College at Jacksonville Tournament Sept. 14-15. The state tournament is scheduled for Nov. 1.

Admission to matches at Titan Field House is free.
