Volleyball players Ortiz, Graefe and Bomfim sign with four-year programs

Three Eastern Florida State College volleyball players have officially signed to attend four-year schools this week.

Malvis Ortiz and Ludmila Bomfim are the first two players under head coach Andrea Rasmussen to sign with NCAA Division I schools as Ortiz will attend Alabama A&M and Bomfim will go to Chicago State in the fall.

Megan Graefe has decided to move back closer to home, signing with Division II Fort Lewis College in Colorado. The first-team all-Southern Conference player finished the season ranked 57th in the NJCAA in digs with 411 and 29th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 4.84.

Ortiz, also a first team all-Southern Conference performer, leaves the Titans with 393 career kills and 134 total blocks and was 62nd in the nation in kills per set last season, averaging 2.88.

Bomfim was a second team all-Southern Conference player who delivered 568 assists which ranked 68th in the nation and was 41st in assists per set, averaging 7.38.
