The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team lost to Miami-Dade in a Southern Conference match Thursday night at Titan Field House.
The Titans, who are now 12-10 overall and 2-5 in the conference, lost the first two sets 25-13, 25-13 before coming alive in the third set.
Delaney Smith had a couple of big kills early in the third set as the teams were tied most of the set. Lorrayne Da Silva's kill gave the Titans a 21-19 lead but Miami-Dade fought back to tie it 21-21 and the Titans tied it back up 26-26 on a Malvis Ortiz kill before Miami-Dade took the third set 28-26.
Ortiz finished with a team-high 12 kills.
The Titans will play two matches Saturday at the College of Central Florida.
