Women's tennis team defeats St. Lawrence University

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team blanked St. Lawrence University Thursday at Titan Tennis Center.

The Titans, who have won three matches in a row, picked up the 9-0 win. The Titans swept the doubles matches as all three won 8-1.

The duo of Lucia Lucas and Emma Sanchez won at No. 1 doubles, while Thais Mitlmeier and Maria Gento won the No. 2 doubles match and Sara Ladino and Elena Martinez Prado won at No. 3.

In singles, all six matches ended in straight sets as Prado won at No. 1, Sanchez at No. 2 and Lucas at No. 3 with Gento, Ladino and Mitlmeier rounding out the singles wins.

Eastern Florida State College will host St. Petersburg College in a Region VIII match next Thursday at 3 p.m.
