Women's tennis players earn ranking heading into spring season

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team has several players ranked in the top 50 nationally as the Fall season wraps up.

The Titans have three singles players and a doubles team ranked in the ITA National Rankings.

Freshman Elena Martinez is ranked 21^st overall in the NJCAA Division I national rankings while teammate Laura Yans is ranked 40^th and sophomore Emma Sanchez is 42^nd.

In doubles, the duo of Sanchez and Sara Ladino are ranked 19^th overall.

The women's tennis team will open the spring season Friday, Jan. 26 at St. Leo University. The first home match will be Friday, Feb. 2 against Gustavus Adolphus College at 11 a.m.
