Women's tennis team falls to No. 5 ABAC

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team lost to No. 5 Abraham Baldwin College Sunday at Titan Tennis Center.

The Titans, who came into the match ranked 10th in the ITA Collegiate NJCAA Tennis Rankings, lost 7-2 and are now 5-2.

Helena Jokanovic won her fourth straight, defeating Victoria Conde in straight sets 6-0, 6-4 as Jokanovic won the first nine points before Conde went on a mini run to make the second set close.

Luisa Renovales also won her fourth straight match, defeating Patricia Principal Pineda 7-5 in a close first set and then won the match with a 6-3 win in the second set.

Abraham Baldwin improves to 6-4 on the season.

Eastern Florida State College will host Loyola University on Thursday for an 11 a.m. contest at Titan Tennis Center on the Melbourne campus.
