Women's tennis team drops USC Sumter

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team swept USC Sumter to win their third straight game on Friday.

The Titans are 5-1 on the season after the 9-0 win against USC Sumter at Titan Tennis Center.

The sweep was the second sweep of the season for Eastern Florida State College. The team of Simona Karlsson Hantzis and Helena Jokanovic won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles while Emma Sanchez and Gloria Barcaro won the No. 2 doubles 8-2 and Paige Noble Lucas and Lucia Lucas Martinez won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Karlsson, Barcaro, Jokanovic, Lucas, Luisa Renovales and Noble-Lucas all picked up straight-set wins in the singles matches.

No. 10 ranked Eastern Florida State College will host No. 5 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on Sunday at 9 a.m. Admission to the Titan Tennis Center is free for fans.
